You negotiate with your boss when you want a pay raise.
Your negotiations could end poorly if what you are asking for is negated. Negated is another of the verbs that start with N. If you are denied what you want then someone has negated your chance at happiness. Up until now, our examples have been pretty serious but that need not be the case.
